Portchester Castle

This is our home port so we don't really treat it as visitors. It's a sheltered anchorage but rather crowded with moorings. If you check at the Portchester sailing club you may be allocated an empty mooring or pile berth. The club is friendly and a great value meal can often be found there.

Portchester castle is the most complete Roman fort in the country and really should be visited if you sail in the Solent.
